I’m in my 5th week since my tummy tuck, and I have this hard cone looking area right below my belly bottom. It’s not flat, and I’m concerned. It’s very hard and protruding, is this normal?

Trisha,

I have never heard of a hard protrusion between the belly button and incision line.

If it concerns you the best thing to do would be to call your surgeon’s office and ask them or make an appointment and have your surgeon check it.

It may be normal for your type of tummy tuck or it may simply be a collection of fluid that the doctor can drain in his office. It’s best to know for sure to give you peace of mind.

Good luck.

Thank you Tanner, Went to DR yesterday and thinks it is a collection of fluid, waiting to hear from the radiologist to have it drained. My Dr didn’t want to do it from his office, not knowing where it needs to be drained. Thanks for our help, Trisha
