It’s been over a year since I had mine and even now I find that after I eat a large meal my stomach feels full and stuffed very quickly. I feel that if I eat any more my stomach will explode. It’s as if I had lap band or gastric bypass surgery (which I did not). Before my operation I could eat a large meal with little or no discomfort afterwards because my stomach could stretch outwards and not be hampered by the surrounding skin or tissue. Since the excess skin was cut away and the remaining skin tightened my stomach has nowhere to expand to. I feel like it is restrained by whatever internal sutures were inserted by the surgeon and my tightened skin. This is a good thing because it prevents me from eating too much at one sitting. Sometimes after I do eat too much I put on my old compression garment to “hold in” my stomach.
