Hello, my name is Brooke and I’m 30 who has had a TT 3 and a half weeks ago, along with lipo. My question is, is it normal that I still can’t stand straight or walk very long at all? Also I have a sharp pain on the inside of my left hip bone, can anyone tell me what that would be? Thanks

Brooke,

(The following is not medical advice, just my opinion.)

Three and a half weeks isn’t that long after tummy tuck surgery.

I would think that you will be able to stand up straight soon, as you swelling should go down and your new tight skin should relax to conform to your new body.

As far as not being able to take long walks, that too will come in time. Fatigue or tiring easily after a tummy tuck is normal. The length of time varies with each person and their specific operation. Going from people that I have talked with, experiencing fatigue after one month is not uncommon.

Here are a couple of fatigue related posts from out tummy tuck forum.

With regard to the sharp pain, pain after a tummy tuck (especially when combined with liposuction) is common. If you think that the pain is too intense and you believe something may be wrong you may want to call your surgeon. He is the only one that can speculate what the pain at that specific location may be from. If it’s not that severe, it may just be part of the normal healing process.

Good luck on the rest of your recovery. Tanner
