I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair in jan 2012. Two and a half weeks later i had my first uti. I was treated with cipro for 10 days. Five days later my belly button began draining serous fluid. The belly button also had a black stich exposed that we cut to the skin. Two days later i developed a low grade temp 37.4-37.8. I was started on cephlex for 5 days. During this time i continued to have a low grade temp. 1 day after the antibiotic was finished i developed chills and umbilical pain. I went to er and was started on clindamycin. I feel somewhat better now but continue with the low grade temp constantly and still have serous drainage. Any suggestions on what is happening and what other treatment i may need……

PR,
Sorry, but I have no suggestions on what is happening or possible treatment.
I assume that your doctor(s) have done all the tests that they can do to determine the cause of your infection(s).
Hopefully your last treatment with clindamycin will knock it out.
Good luck,
Tanner
