Serum HCG is a blood test that is usually performed to see if you are pregnant or not. The test checks for the presence of a hormone called chorionic gonadotropin in you blood. HCG is a hormone normally produced during pregnancy.

For women the Serum HCG Blood Test is performed to determine if they are pregnant or not or to check for ovarian tumors. For men the Serum HCG Blood Test is performed to check for testicular tumors.
