Excess skin after weight loss is just a fact of life. You do all that hard work to lose that weight and now you're stuck with ugly excess skin hanging down from different parts of your body. I lost over 150 pounds over a few years with diet and exercise and ended up with lots of excess skin on my body. Excess skin after losing weight was depressing. After all that hard work you end up looking like you are still overweight.
Tighten Excess Skin
I tried every trick in the book to tighten excess skin. I really had hoped that if I lost the weight slowly over a long period of time my skin would gradually accommodate my weight loss and shrink accordingly but to no avail. There was just no way to tighten up excess skin in my case. The only way I had to get rid of excess skin was to have it cut off.
Tighten Excess Skin After Weight Loss With Exercise
I knew that I had a lot of weight to lose. I also knew that if I lost all that weight I might be stuck with the problem of excess skin like that you see of those people on TV. I didn't want that to happen to me so I did everything I could do to prevent excess skin problem from happening to me. This included daily exercise. My biggest hope to was to tighten excess skin after weight loss with exercise. Unfortunately it didn't work. Either I didn't know how to tighten excess skin or tightening excess skin was just a futile effort.
Firming Excess Skin; Toning Excess Skin
Firming excess skin with skin creams didn't work for me. While they may have some effect I believe they are mostly a waste of money. Toning excess skin with massages may have some health benefits like stimulating blood circulation, but for toning excess skin probably a waste of time. Excess skin treatments don't work if the skin has been stretched beyond it elastic limits.
Excess Skin On Stomach
Excess skin removal on my stomach was my biggest problem. As you can see in the pictures it really hangs over my belt and waist area.
How To Get Rid Of Excess Skin After Weight Loss
Weight loss excess skin was hanging down from my stomach area my sides and my back side. I initially hoped that a mini tummy tuck was all that I would need but when I looked into the mirror I knew better. A full abdominoplasty was what I needed to remove the excess skin from my belly area but what about the sides and back. Was is so bad that I needed additional surgery to remove the excess skin or fat from those areas? Well the answer was yes. I ended up getting a lateral thigh lift along with a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin from my front, sides and back of my midsection. In essence a body lift.
