The following post from our tummy tuck forum is from a woman who had a tummy tuck 11 weeks ago and has pain in her stomach muscle. She is wondering if this is normal after tummy tuck surgery.

I'm 11 weeks out from my full tummy tuck. My concern is if even after 11 weeks it's normal to feel some pain in my stomach muscle. It will feel like a spasm where I have to apply a little pressure with my hands or girdle. Is this normal and when will I be able to go a day not even thinking about the discomfort.

Carmen,

"Some pain" is a little vague but I usually don't hear from too many people complaining about pain in their stomachs 3 months after their tummy tuck surgery.

You may want to call your surgeon's office and ask them. The nurse on duty can probably tell you if it is normal or not or schedule you for another follow-up appointment if she thinks it's needed.
