Levaquin is a brand name of the antibiotic medicine called a fluoroquinolone. It is used to treat severe bacterial infections or bacterial infections that have failed to respond to other antibiotics. Levaquin is available in tablet, oral solution and intravenous forms. Levaquin is used in adults to treat urinary tract infections, acute bacterial sinusitis, pneumonia among other conditions. Levaquin is available by prescription only.
