Hi, My name is George and I am 21 years old this year. At my heaviest
I weight 230lbs. Right now I am down to 170lbs... I am going to
get the abdominoplasty after I reached my ideal weight in a year's time.
For the inner thigh, a thigh lift may sound too extreme for me and I am
probably going to learn to live with it...

If you snap or pull a suture on the inside of your tummy tuck can
there be damage done? Charlene, I never had that problem so I don't

I am having a panniculectomy on Jan 7th and am scared out of my mind
about the drains. I have no sense of smell, so I will not be able to
detect an odor. I also find it very hard to move around and am very
squeamish. Can you calm my fears in any way. I had lap band, and have
lost 150 lbs. with 100 more to go, but the fat and skin around my
abdomen is making it hard to move and walk. This is the only way to get
rid of it. They will not be cutting through muscle. Just skin and fat.
They will be removing about 25lbs from me. Do you think I can handle
this alone? Will I be able to wear clothes, do stairs?

After liposuction the target
areas you had treated, will a person be able to get fat in
those areas again? Lisa,
I don't really know. I never had liposuction, just a tummy tuck with a body
lift.
If I had to guess, I would think it would be possible to get fat in those areas
again.

I want a tummy very bad but I am scared to do it.
I am the mother of three children and had three C-sections. Two C-sections
resulted in a perforated bowel and I required two bowel surgeries. I have a very
deep and wide vertical scar with three inches above my belly button which was
cut through. I have had several consults and am not sure who to believe. One
said he could give me a new stomach with a belly button, the other said that I
would still have a two to three inch scar above my belly button and would not
have a belly button...

Hi, I'm so depressed I had x sarcomas after my surgery, then when
that resolved I have swelling, going on 4 months I no longer fit in
previous clothes. mine is not bloating it is distention I feel pregnant,
people think I had a breast job, I have gained 12 lbs., not due too
overeating that's for sure my skin is tight and the only way I feel I
look ok is if I don't eat and lay down. I'm uncomfortable in my own
skin, above my private area is swelling that takes on a look of a cone,
I no longer feel feminine, and am sick of not fitting in my jeans. I
went from 140-160- I hate the whole thing I feel all this pain wasn't
vain no pun intended.

Thank you so much for making this website.
I have looked all over the internet

I want a tummy tuck so bad! In fact my surgery date is scheduled for

Dear Tanner,
Thank you SO much for setting up this website with your experiences. I have been
looking for something like this for AGES, and have finally found the resource
I've been looking for.
I lost 90 pounds after a life of being fat. I'm 34 and have had severe migraine
attacks all my life. After having been treated by a neurologist since I was 12,
my neurologist finally told me there was nothing else he could do for me (after
we'd tried every available treatment). The only thing he could think of was me
trying to lose weight. So I did.
And it worked. I have far less migraine attacks, and the ones I do have are far
less intense. However, now I have a lot of skin left. So, I am having the skin
'chopped off' in 3 months...

I am 10 day post op full abdominoplasty. So far so good except these
drain tubes giving me fits. The right one is out to point of no more
bulb suction and about 2 inches white portion of tube shows and I can
see the sutures. I go Mon to doctor to take it out. Is it possible it
will keep working itself out and if so how do I take care of treating
the hole left behind? It seems that every movement I make is causing it
to come out another half inch and pushing it back in I know is not a
good idea.

Ok, so I had my tummy tuck on May 12, 2010 (almost a month ago now) and
I still have the drainage tube in on the right side!!! I'm so frustrated
right now, it hurts so badly just sitting with this thing in me!! It
stings so bad and it is so uncomfortable, the output is at about 30 cc's
but I really want it taken out immediately!! Also, every time I tell my
doctor about something I had read that is a warning sign and should tell
him about, he acts like it's no big deal and it makes me look like I am
freaking out over every little thing, so what do I do??

How Long Do Tummy Tuck Stitches Last?
|
Sally
Hi....I am just over 2 weeks post op tummy tuck. My internal muscles
did have some diastis and needed to be sutured back. My main concern is
the longevity of the sutures. My doctor says they last a lifetime. I
am an active 45 yr. old runner. I also use some weights and definitely
work on my core. I am so concerned that the core workouts and abs
exercises will bust my sutures. I would love to hear of some success
stories to maybe ease my concerns. Thank you!

closed up so there is not any drainage. when should I become worried or
is this normal to have pain there? I do want to say that it does not

I am dreaming of having a Tummy Tuck since my abdomen looks as that
of a pregnant women. After having two children, my perfect slim tummy
became that of an 8 months pregnant lady. I haven't had sex for nearly a
year. This is taking all my confidence away. I feel really embarrassed
of having sex. I have a beautiful body except my tummy, a side 12 on a
side 18 waste. I would like to know what are the risks of dying during
Tummy Tuck. I am particularly scared of Aorta been accidentally burst
during surgery. Can you please tell me what are death rates and risks?
Thanks.
