This is a photograph of how I looked from the front three days after undergoing Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Plastic Surgery with Lateral Thigh Lift to remove excess sagging skin from my midsection (150 lb. weight loss). The compression garment was removed for the photograph. Note the swelling, bruising, stitches and belly button. Read My Story and see more "Before and After" Photographs.

I took this photograph of my post tummy tuck belly to show close-up views of the abdominoplasty surgery incision line and the stitches/sutures used to sew the skin together. The picture also shows how the surgical drain tubes are inserted into the body and stitched to the skin to prevent them from accidentally pulling out. Note about my abdominoplasty surgical drain tubes: When I first saw the abdominoplasty drain tubes sticking out of my body I was a little surprised. Even though I knew I was going to have surgical drains installed during my tummy tuck, it was odd and a little unnatural to see them coming from me. It reminded me of the Borg on Star Trek, but since they didn't hurt or cause me any discomfort, I got used to them very quickly.
