This is a picture I took after I had my Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Plastic Surgery with Lateral Thigh Lift to remove excess sagging skin from my midsection (150 lb. weight loss). This photograph was taken two days after my tummy tuck with lateral thigh lift operation and shows the obvious swelling and bruising on my left side immediately after surgery. You can see how the skin is stretched and sewn together at the incision line. This is a good example of a lateral thigh lift surgery where the surgeon continues the incision to the buttocks area. Even though it looks ugly and painful, I experienced no pain.
Background: I am a 54 year old man who is 5' - 7 1/2" tall and had attained a weight of over 300 pounds. Over 2 years of dieting and daily exercise I reduced my weight to 155lbs (lost over 150 pound weight loss). This left me with a lot of excess skin around my belly and midsection. Since I didn't want to live with this for the rest of my life (See my "Before & After" Pictures), I decided to look into a Tummy Tuck operation.
