Stomach Pressure And Discomfort 3 Years After Tummy Tuck

The following post from our forum is from a woman who had a tummy tuck 3 years ago and is now has an uncomfortable feeling of pressure in lower part of stomach that feels similar to being pregnant.

I am 63 and had a tummy tuck almost 3 years ago, results good but some nerve problems. Lately have a persistent uncomfortable feeling of pressure in lower part of stomach feels similar to being pregnant. Scar tissue?

Peg,

Others (and myself) had had similar feelings of pressure and discomfort long after a tummy tuck. Weight gain seemed to be the cause of it.

Have you gained any weight since your tummy tuck?

My guess is that weight gain causes pulling and stress on the internal stomach muscle stitching that was done during the tummy tuck. It feels like your skin and stomach is trying to stretch out again.

Try fasting for a few days and lose a few pounds to see if that eases your pressure.
