It has just been 3 years since my tummy tuck surgery. It is unusual for me but recently i have alot of tightening and some tenderness on my surgical line and was very itchy felt inside. When i stretch it feels very tight this is the first time i am having any post surgical pain. Is this strange 3 years later of is something else going on?

Lorraine,

I couldn't really tell you if something else is going on, only medical testing can tell you that.

It's been longer than that since I had my tummy tuck with lateral thigh lift but last year I experienced the tightening that you described and occasional pain (not really pain, more like an awareness of something). I do remember some itching as well, but only off and on for a day or two.

But I knew what mine was from.

I had gained a couple of pounds and my body was reminding me of that. It was like my waist/ incision line was at it's stretching point.

For me, a couple of days of dieting made it go away. Maybe I ate something that made me retain a lot of water weight or something. Not really sure.

I haven't heard of anyone else describing your symptoms so long after a tummy tuck.

Good luck,

Tanner
